Lifestyle Twitter content includes any and everything that you might want to post about you. ?Pictures of trips, events, your family, your dog – whatever helps your audience get to know more about you. ?The value of this content lies in the fact that it makes you seem more like a real person, it makes you more relatable. ?Through this content, people come to feel as though they know you, and people buy from people that they know, like and trust.

People love to read inspirational, motivational quotes, and there tons of them out there. ? A percentage of your Twitter content should consist of a number of images which contain famous quotes. ? These images should contain both the quote and your branded logos, tags, etc. ?This will make people associate these quotes with you and your brand.

Value Funnels

Value funnels is where the Twitter content rubber hits the road and you will be able to begin generating leads for your business.? This content consists of value that you offer in exchange for contact information and should contain links to lead capture pages. ?Your content should not contain too many of these links as it might make you appear spammy.

By consistently tweeting out?Value Content, Lifestyle content, Branded quotes, and Value Funnel content, you will begin to grow your audience, connect with them ?and if you have accurately targeted your audience, you will begin to generate leads, sales and build your business.

Once you are driving traffic to your website, you must be successful in converting traffic so as to generate sales and to build your team. ?In a pprevious post, I described the three types of traffic, those being

  1. Cold Traffic – Traffic from people who no little or nothing about you or your products and services
  2. Warm Traffic – Traffic from people who have been exposed to you and your content but have not yet opted in or bought anything from you.
  3. Hot Traffic – Traffic from people who have opted in to your list or have actually bought something from you.

We can break down Hot traffic into it’s two types as well (opted in vs. buyers ).

Soconverting traffic the question is, how do convert traffic from being “COLD” to “HOT”? ?Many new marketers throw their links all over the ‘net expecting someone to opt in to their list or to buy from them. ?The problem with this is that people generally only buy from those that they know like and trust. ?So if you haven’t built a relationship with your prospective customers, you really shouldn’t expect many people to either opt in to your lists or to buy from you.

The challenge lies in converting that cold traffic to hot traffic – moving your prospective customers from strangers to people who look to you as trusted adviser.

Converting Traffic by Creating Valuable Content

One way to do this is to consistently create content whether that be a YouTube video, a blog post or whatever you feel most comfortable producing – ?that informs, motivates or entertains your target audience . ?And give that content away for FREE. ?No opt-in or any other requirements attached.?Instead of using lead capture pages to ?build a list, you can use retargeting pixels to build a virtual list that will allow you to “follow” your target audience around the internet and to constantly market to them even though you don’t have their email address.

As you produce this content, you need to get it in front of your target audience. ?You can do this with paid advertising or with, my favorite method, Twitter. ?The more of your valuable content that they consume, the “warmer” they will grow to you and your offerings.

The more valuable content that you produce, the more successful you will be in converting traffic to your content and the more that your audience will grow to know like and trust you. ?And you can then start moving them through your sales funnel. ?1st by offering a free piece of content in exchange for their email address.

Once have been successful in converting traffic from warm to hot and you have their email address, you need to honor that relationship and continue to provide value via your emails. ?Don’t oversell. ?At this point these people are now considered “HOT”.

This is a process which takes time, planning and consistent implementation. ?So once you have hot traffic, especially buyers, you must treat those people as though they are gold… Because they are!

Another way to vary your content while maintaining a high?level of interactivity on your Facebook Fanpage: Serve up quiz-type posts where the viewer has to take some type?of action. ?You can leverage it even more by adding a personal questionge.

The only exception to this would be if you?re such a big celebrity?that you actually need to discourage people getting too personal. But for the rest of the?world (particularly small businesses) the more interaction between you and your?commenters and posters, the better.

13. Don?t be too commercial or cold!

People use Facebook for social connection and?entertainment. If your Page or Page posts come across as too commercial or impersonal?? or worse, reads like an advertisement ? you?ll not only put readers off and possibly?annoy them, you?ll actively discourage or kill all chance at interaction.

14. Use polls.

People love to give their opinion. As long as your main question isn?t too?bland or generic, and you haven?t given your audience members too many choices, you?stand a higher-than-average chance of gaining some interaction

15. Give your page personality.

You want people to feel like your post is coming from a?friend ? not some official announcement machine. And that your voice is real. ?Adding a personal photos, pictures of your lifestyle, etc.

16. Pay attention to your followers.

There?s one celebrity that pays as much attention to?his feedback as his fans pay to him. You can do this as well by commenting on and liking comments made by your fans. ?You can also feature a post made by a fan to show that you are paying attention.

17. ?Give your followers a delicious, unexpected deal sometimes.

If there is a sale of some sort available that you are aware of or some other special deal, share it with your fans?(and makes some sales).

18. Don?t shy away from controversial posts.

You should never, ever post strictly to cash?in on shock value ? but featuring a controversial question or link can really increase?engagement. One rule of thumb, however: Don?t post solely to vent your feelings ? post?because you think it?s something everyone should care about (or at least, your fans).

19. ?Acknowledge your commenters whenever possible.

People like to feel important. So if a fan’s comments are interesting or make a really good point, respond to it and personalize your response.

20. ?Don?t automate posts.

You can preschedule in emergencies ? such as, you?re going to?be away for four days ? but just remember that even the best pre-scheduled post can?result in a drop in engagement if (a) it feels out of context (b) it feels impersonal or?canned? and (c) you?re not there to answer or acknowledge.

21. ?Wake your readers up!

Spectacular or unusual photos are a great way to do this. ?And now that your eyeballs are vibrating and your mind is awake, off you go and?increase your Facebook Page?s interactivity quotient!

So you can tap into this method of social networking for your business. Facebook actually has rules, too, so you’ll want to familiarize yourself with their terms and conditions. Most likely, you aren’t going to break any Facebook rules unless you’re being really offensive, but it’s a good idea to read the rules anyway.

2. Keep it professional

When you set up a Facebook business page, you will need to fill out your personal information. When you fill it out, make sure the information is true and real, but also professional. Personal details are not the first thing that visitors should see when they come across your page. Think of your personal traits from a business standpoint, and describe yourself using professional criteria.

 

3. Keep your focus

When you begin your business ventures on Facebook, it’s a good idea to keep your focus. Your business has a purpose, and you’ll need a good grasp of what that purpose is. This will help you connect with the right groups and prospective customers.

When you begin filling your page with content – the information that people read when they visit your page – keep it on topic. Prospects will lose interest if your content has no focused purpose.

To help keep your focus and avoid getting “sucked in” to the social aspects of Facebook, it may help to schedule certain times of the day when you do your social networking.

 

4. People want to see you

Having the neutral blue silhouette is considered a no-no from a business perspective. Your avatar – the little picture that everyone will see beside your comments, posts, and on your page – needs to show an image of your best professional you.

5. Things to avoid

When you first start up on Facebook, you will probably see a lot of frivolous games, gifts, and so forth that are not relevant to your business. It’s a good idea to block these things in your personal settings, and avoid participating in “chain mail” types of communication.

It’s also a good idea to avoid “spamming” others. This is when you send out all kinds of promotional material and information all at once to all sorts of Facebook users, and continue doing it daily. It can turn prospective clients off quickly. They may block you, or remove their status as your friend or fan.

Known variously as your “target market,” “target audience,” “demographic,” and so forth, determining just who it is you’re selling to is a step that shouldn’t be skipped. Facebook actually offers tools for you to research your demographics’ Facebook presence – find out the groups, events, and individual profiles that are relevant to your business.

2. Look at the ads of others

Consider doing some research – click on the ads you see on your Facebook page, and see what they are up to. What kind of ads seem effective? Which ones have an approach that appeals to you? Which ads keep appearing over and over, indicating they have something that’s working for them?

3. Create your own business community by creating a Facebook Fan Page or Facebook Group

Facebook is about making connections. Building communities via Facebook is a good way to conglomerate members of your demographic and find new ones. For example, your clients and fans may join one of your groups and invite their friends to join as well. Keep it interesting and lively by holding discussions, virtual events, providing exciting information, and so forth.

Your ad will appear on the right side of those Facebook pages you have targeted.

Setting a budget will help prevent you from experimenting with a lot of different ad techniques, thereby wasting money and time. Your advertising campaign should have a definite budget limit, and your goals need to be clearly defined alongside it. In other words, you need to know just what it is you expect for your advertising dollar.

6. Key words

It’s a good idea to learn to integrate key words into your ads. These are words that are gleaned from people’s profile information, and you can use these key words in your ad to customize it to a particular demographic. In fact, what you find in people’s profiles is key to filtering out who is in your target market and who is not.
