Taxes – And Your Online Business

Taxes – And Your Online Business

Before, garage sales and flea markets were the most popular venues for selling pre-owned or used items that you would want to get rid of and at the same time earn money from. However, thanks to the technological developments that have happened through the years, we can now have easy access to the Internet and have the options to sell our stuffs there.

If you have been selling your stuffs on the Internet and if you still have future plans to do so, you might want to consider taxes and your online business before you continue with it.

Selling On eBay Or From Your Own Website

A lot of people today are getting attracted by the fact that they can actually sell almost anything on the internet by just posting it on eBay, their own web site or any other site that offers practically the same services.

However, what most people don’t know is that there are actually rules and laws that cover selling items on the Internet.

Getting Serious In Your Online Business

If you have been selling your stuffs for quite a long time already, you may consider it as an income-generating activity, right? Having an online business really has a lot of perks and advantages such as being able to work right at home, not having to have your own boss, etc.

However, having an online business doesn’t mean that you are free from paying your taxes. When you decide to be more serious about your online business, there are a lot of things you have to consider.

Perhaps the first and most important thing you have to consider is the legality of your online business. Make sure that you are not breaking any rule or law so that you and your reputation won’t be in jeopardy.

In addition to that, you must be aware of the several laws that come along with online businesses such as tax rules.

You have to be aware of the different taxation conditions of different states and countries because since you will be having a business online, people from different parts of the world will more or less become your customers or potential business partners.

You must also be aware of the process for paying federal and state taxes for online businesses. Maybe you will have some questions such as:

"Do I need a tax ID number?", "Do I need to file specific paper works or forms?", "How do I begin to pay federal and state taxes?", etc.

Some of the basic things you need to know about having a legal online business is that your business is actually the one that will pay income taxes in pretty much the same way it would if it were a brick-and-mortar kin of business.

The address for filing you income tax will be the principal business address of the entity. The laws of the particular states that you transact or have business with are the ones that would determine whether you will be required to pay state income taxes.

You should also be aware that a lot of states impose "sales" taxes on items that are purchased by the residents of their state. For you not to get in trouble or end up getting dazed and confused with the many laws and conditions of taxes and your online business, you can try to consult a lawyer knowledgeable in these matters.

Getting Quick Cash on the Net

Getting Quick Cash on the Net

When we first start out in business, there is a lot standing in the way of us being successful. It is often the case with a bricks and mortar business that you will have been trading for months or longer before you have anything resembling a steady income. In addition to this, presentation is everything in face to face business, and you can be unlucky simply because of completely superficial factors. But if you want to quickly realise the value of an asset, the Internet is a major advantage, one you cannot afford to turn down. The advent of auction sites which allow you to sell items at the click of a mouse means that you can decide to sell something one day, and receive the money for it the next.

This ability to sell something and see the money instantly may not be anything new if one takes into account the existence of pawn shops. But the ability to reach a much wider marketplace, and potentially get a good deal more than you otherwise would have is something that was impossible prior to the Internet. If you need working capital in order to take advantage of an opportunity, the Internet has made it a whole lot easier. People sell all kinds of things on the Internet, from extremely small, cheap items to cars and even in some cases their house. While selling your house is generally not a good idea in such a short space of time, it does show what is possible.

How To Make Money From Home During Corona Virus Crisis

Whether we want to admit it or not, the Coronavirus will be a mirror of who we are.

Every crisis exposes who you really are, and this is no exception.

  • If you have no character, it will show.
  • You’re either going to panic or minimize how serious it is.
  • You’re going to bulk buy toilet paper.
  • You’re going to spread pseudoscientific news.
  • You’re not going to contribute.
  • You’re going to be so negative.
  • Criticize your government.

But if you DO have character, you’re going to step up as a leader.

  • You’re going to do what’s best for you and society.
  • You’re going to make tough decisions.
  • You’re going to take responsibility.
  • You’re going to stay calm and control what you can control.
  • You’re going to adapt, be creative and find solutions.
  • You’re going to contribute and make an impact.
How To Make Money From Home During Corona Virus Crisis

With all of the craziness happening all over the world, it can be easy to get sucked into all of this fear that is going around.

One thing that I’ve learned during this pandemic is not to panic and to not worry about what’s happening outside of me. I can only control my thoughts and emotions. This is a time of patience, deep thinking and figuring things out.

I knew after the 2008 recession that I had to pivot. I lost all of my money and I knew I had to find something that is sustainable and doesn’t require me to hold any kind of inventory.

This is when I started an affiliate marketing business

Affiliate marketing gives you the opportunity to earn a commission by selling products or services offered by other companies. It’s a great way to supplement your income from the convenience of your own home. Fortunately, it’s also easy to become an affiliate for companies that are household names.

This is what I love about affiliate marketing:

  • I could find a product that I wanted to promote
  • It allowed me to do a search for “product name” affiliate program.
  • Most affiliate marketing programs are free
  • Once I applied and was approved I would then get a special link that allows the merchant to track the people who clicked on my link
  • If the visitors buy the product, I would get a commission.

In the beginning, I was testing to see what works and what didn’t. Once I found what was working, I would double down and do more of what’s working. This is a sure way to succeed in an online affiliate marketing business.

This is what I did to get started with a shoestring budget:

  • Created a blog
  • Picked an industry that I wanted to target and then niche down
  • Researched products in my niche that I could review
  • Signed up for the Amazon affiliate program
  • Find other affiliate programs in the same space that I could review
  • Created content in the form of “How to” tutorials review blogs and resources
  • Building my list daily so that I can build a rapport with my audience
  • Optimized my blog and tracked my rankings in Google
  • Rinse and repeat

Don’t be fooled though. The gurus will tell you that creating an affiliate marketing business is easy and requires little to no capital to start. Anyone that says that affiliate marketing is easy is trying to sell you something.

It’s easy to set up your site with your affiliate links. But how do you even get people to see your content? Your first option should be free traffic and then paid traffic.

Free Traffic

Free traffic can be achieved through things like social media or SEO. Free traffic is just another term for free visitors to your site. If you post your website on Instagram for your friends to see, when your friends visit your site, your site receives traffic.  This traffic costs you nothing and is free.

Paid Traffic

This by far is the best method, but of course, it requires money. The beauty of paid traffic is that you can reach a lot of people fast. The bigger the budget, the more people you can get to view your content. Mastering the skill of paid traffic can result in huge returns. Some individuals make up to $ 10k/day by using paid traffic.

With a little bit of creativity, this business model can be molded into any business. It can be used as a personal moneymaker, as a legitimate company, or even as a supplement for a company already adopting a different business model. As we enter a new era of virtual reality, crypto-currencies, and whatever crazy new tech that comes out think about how you can implement the affiliate marketing model into future businesses. Wake up; we are in a gold rush.

How To Get Paid By Walmart Working From Home

There are many reasons a person might want to work from home; a little extra money, a disability makes it difficult or impossible to work outside the home, you’re a stay-at-home parent to small children, you’re agoraphobic, or perhaps you don’t drive and live in an area with no public transit.

asset If you’re considering a work at home gig, you’re far from alone.

Of those 8 million, some have remote jobs meaning their company allows them to work from home rather than work in an office. More and more employers are embracing the idea of remote work because it’s been shown to greatly increase an employee’s productivity and decrease attrition.

And some of those 8 million people who work from home have sought out the flexible work opportunities the internet has made possible through things like affiliate marketing.
